Cheap Health Insurance Options

If you are a member of an organization that has a group plan or if your employer has a group plan, you can use those plans to keep the costs down. You may have to subsidize those plans if they don’t meet your needs but it is one of the cheapest forms of insurance. The reason for this is now the insurance company has less negotiating power. This helps to keep the premiums reasonable.
Another cheap form of insurance is what is known as the Health Insurance Co-op. The co-ops are a gathering of individuals who need insurance and they self insure by operating essentially as a non-profit. This keeps the premiums low however you are exposed to the conditions of everyone in the co-op.
