Why Grapes are a perfect Immune System Boosters?
Works have shown that a compound called “reveratrol” is found in red grapes, which is also in the RioVida drink. This compound had some extremely startling health benefits, not to mention maximizing the lifespan of mice (11/2/2006, San Jose Mercury News).
The two aforementioned researchers, along with Marc Tatar of Brown University, who also shares a passion in the biology of aging and life-span propagation, recently showed that reveratrol can slow down the aging proces in nematodes and fruit flies. The collaboration was transcribed in the July 15, 2004 issue of the time-honored journal Nature. A year earlier Sinclair reported that reveratrol stretches the lifespan of yeast cells by 70% and also increasing DNA stability.
Resveratrol happens naturally in low amounts in grape skin, peanuts and some berries. It is a substantial antioxidant, and researchers widely have theorized that it could be partially responsible for the so-named French paradox — the observance that the French have a low occurence of heart disease even though they eat up a high-fat diet.
Resveratrol and other polyphenols (flavanols, flavonoids, anthocyanins and phytochemicals) are Epidemiologic and clinical studies indicate that high consumption of polyphenols including resveratrol-rich foods is connected with low-level heart disease risk, lower total cholesterol, as well as lower LDL cholesterol.
